Dr. Rivero received her DVM from the University of Oklahoma and was the Veterinarian In Attendance with the American Kennel Club and Kennel Club of Northern New Jersey, All Breed Dog Show.

Dr. Rivero was a Girl Scout in Brasil where she grew up.
